Each pc which comes to the shop is assessed and subject to a 10 point evaluation.  Once this process is complete thorough scans are implemented on a dedicated scanning machine which scans the entire hard disk for malicious software and removes any problematic instances. 

Once these phases are over, the operating system (windows) is completely updated to the latest service packs and KB patches.  If the pc is without malware protection then we install and update the associated software to help prevent future problems.

Finally, the mother board and CPU heat sink are cleaned of debris and the cooling fans are checked for smooth operation.  Because of the nature of modern pc’s, dust will collect in the inside of the computer no matter how good of a house keeper you happen to be. If you run it, it will collect dust.  Over time, this build up will lead to the CPU over-heating causing a shortened life expectancy of the hardware. 

If the pc is brought in with a failing hard disk, we collect as much data as possible for restoration and installation on the new hard disk and supply you with a CD of the old data at no extra charge.
